Pretty Little Liars Filipino Adaptation

Lately most soap operas in the Philippines are adaptation from the previous soap operas from different country. Popular examples are Maria Mercedes, Asan si Elisa, Coffee Prince, Full House, and of course Marimar these soap operas have been part of our every day lives. In fact most of us got carried away with these soap operas that we tend to hate the antagonists and sympathize with the protagonist. We even talked about it in the morning before we check the news paper, in the toilets with our girl friends, at work when we have our coffee breaks and even in social networks. Soap Operas have been a big part of our evening it's like our day was not complete without them.

Asides from soap operas most Filipinos are also addicted to TV series especially US TV series like Glee, Smash, Grey's Anatomy, Ravenswood, and The Big Bang Theory. Among all these series there is one that really stands out, Pretty Little Liars. Yes a lot of Filipinos specifically Pinays are addicted to Pretty Little Liars because of simple reasons it is very exciting, heart stopping, and mysterious. Not only that the characters are also fashionable. They have their own sense of style that show their personality.

Pretty Little Liars is an original series from ABC Family (TV network in USA) based on the popular novels of Sara Shepard. This series is about 4 girls who has a friend named Allison DeLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse) after a year of disappearance of Allison the 4 girls named Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale), Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson) and Emily Fields (Shay Mitchel) started receiving messages from a mysterious person named "A" who threatens them to expose their secrets. First they thought it was Allison who is sending them the message but Ali's body was found and they realize that someone else knows their secrets.

Just today I saw on my instagram account that TV 5 got the franchise of Pretty Little Liars which means that there will be a Filipino adaptation of the said series. This is something that we can look forward in 2014. I wonder how can they pull it all together and if it can be as good as the original. This is very exciting I can't wait to see the Filipino adaptation of PLL and of course I am also excited for the Pretty Little Liars Season 4 Winter Premiers which will also air next year. I wonder since TV 5 got the franchise will they be the one who is going to air the continuation of  PLL season 4 or will it still be ETC? I guess it's another thing to look forward in 2014.

Summer Ain't Over Until I Say So

Last June 15 - 17 2013 me and two of my friends went to Boracay Island to complete our summer of 2013. Boracay is very popular not only to Filipinos but also to most of the foreigner who are visiting our country and since it was my first time to go to the island I am very excited.

It was not only my first time in Boracay but also my first time to ride a plane and as expected I am very anxious. Our flight was 5:45pm but as expected it was delayed. We arrived in Boracay at around 9:30pm it was a long travel cause our flight was Manila - Kalibo because it was cheaper.

As soon as we checked in our hotel room in Royal Park Hotel located on station 1. We didn't waste time and we immediately stroll around the beach and look for a good restaurant who was offering sea foods. Since there are a lot of restaurants to choose from it took us awhile to choose where to eat.

Finally we found a place who is offering what we are looking for. We ate at Titos they are offering variety of foods from meat, vegetables and sea foods. I love their relyenong pusit it is stuffed pusit but instead of vegetables they have meat inside and it has black sauce around it that made it more delicious. We also had Boracay rice which is a good combination of the relyenong pusit. We also had hipon sa aligue which is as good as the relyenong pusit and their best seller the chicken with garlic sauce.

After we had our dinner we walked along the beach to find a bar where we can hang out the next night.

Sunday June 16 is my friend Syara's birthday. The first half of the day we spent it doing water activities. We had 3 activities in line that day and our first stop was the extreme Fly Fish.

It was a very fun and extreme activity. We fell on the water, we fight the waves, we scream at the top of our lungs. It was tiring but it was exciting and we had a blast.
This is how we looked like before the ride
Let the fun begins!

We started screaming!!!

Then we're flying
Now we're falling
We're missing
We recover
Here we go again!!
and again!!!!
and again!!!!!!
And this is how we looked after the ride
After the tiring Fly Fish our next adventure was parasailing.  This one is different we got to relax and enjoy the view of Boracay. However the first 5 minutes I was very anxious because I am scared of heights.

take off

now we're flying
Fly High

Our last stop was the ATV we drove for 40min under the bright sun. That is the reason why I have sun burn until now. We went to a place where we can see the beauty of the Island and we had a lot of pictures taken in this place.

After our fun and exciting activities we went back to our hotel room and prepared for our lunch. While waiting for our lunch I had my hair braided.

Our lunch was carbs overload we had pizza, 2 kinds of pastas and a baked tomato.

Yellow Cab
After our lunch we swam and enjoyed the beach. We do not have photos at the time cause we decided to leave our valuables inside the hotel to have a blast without thinking of losing something. We also went to Jonah's Fruit Shakes and bought their famous of course fruit shakes I had banana and mango my friends had banana and avocado.

Since we do not have pictures that afternoon I will share some of my picture early that morning in the beach.

And yes I'm comfortable with my body :)

We went to D'Mall and bought pasalubongs. Actually only my friends bought pasalubongs.

D'mall
I saw this cute sign ( I don't know how you call it) in one of the boutiques in D'mall.

Since pasalubongs are not my thing and I am getting tired of walking around I decided to go back to the hotel. On my way, I saw Loco Frio on station 2. I bought one and I drank my cocktail on my way to the hotel and finished it in our room and fell asleep.

My friends woke me up cause it's time for dinner and we wanted to experience Boracay's night life. We ate at Red Coconut's restaurant. Sorry I forgot what we ordered but those were sea foods.

Then we spend the rest of the night at Wave bar and lounge we had a blast that night. We drank and get tipsy.

I ain't drunk just tipsy

We ended the night at around 2 pm. Since it was a Sunday night there were few people in the bar but we still had a blast. At the same time we have an early flight the next day.

The next day was a Monday and it's our time to go home. Our flight was 12:45 but since we were booked in Kalibo International Airport we have to leave early because it is a loooong travel. We had room service for breakfast because we were packing our things that morning. When our things were all set we decided to have our photos taken before we leave.

On our way home.

Finally!
